Out of the Darkness
A Powerful Morning of Remembrance, Hope & Community
🌅 Out of the Darkness Walk 2026 – Sunday 12th August 🌅
We’re proud to announce that our annual Out of the Darkness Walk will return on Sunday 12th August 2026 — a powerful community event bringing people together to remember, reflect, and walk in hope. Each year, hundreds join us to honour those we’ve lost to suicide and to stand beside those who continue to struggle, reminding one another that no one walks alone. The event raises vital awareness and funds for mental health and suicide prevention services provided by West Wellbeing and Foodstock, ensuring support stays right here in West Belfast.
Following the walk, we will hold a special ceremony to officially open the Wall of Remembrance — a dedicated space where families, friends, and community members can place photos, messages, and tributes to loved ones lost to suicide. This wall will serve as a lasting symbol of love, remembrance, and connection — a place for healing and reflection for all who visit.
We invite everyone to take part — whether walking in memory of someone special, to support others, or to raise awareness of suicide prevention. Together, we can continue to shine a light through the darkness and keep hope alive in our community. 💙
