Out of the Darkness
A Powerful Morning of Remembrance, Hope & Community
On Sunday morning,
the West Belfast community came together in an unforgettable way as around 400 people joined us for the Out of the Darkness walk – a deeply moving event filled with reflection, remembrance, and hope.
As the sun rose, so too did the spirit of unity among those who gathered. Each person walked with purpose – some in memory of loved ones lost, others to support those still struggling, and many simply to stand in solidarity with our message: you are not alone.
The atmosphere was one of quiet strength, compassion, and deep connection. It was humbling to witness so many people from all walks of life coming together with shared purpose – to honour, to heal, and to break the silence surrounding mental health and suicide.

We were incredibly grateful to have Ivors on hand, generously supplying warm food and beverages for everyone in attendance. Their support helped bring comfort and a sense of care to the morning, and we can't thank them enough for their kindness and generosity.

The event came to a close with a beautiful performance by Cara Linden, whose heartfelt song brought many to tears and reminded us all of the healing power of music and togetherness. Her voice echoed with emotion and love, offering a peaceful moment of reflection as we ended the walk.
We want to say a heartfelt thank you to every single person who took part, supported behind the scenes, or helped make the event possible. Your presence made a difference. Your support continues to fuel the work we do.

Together, we walked out of the darkness – and into the light of community, hope, and healing.
