🌅 Out of the Darkness – A Walk of Hope 2026 🌅
Sunday 12th April 2026

In April 2026, West Wellbeing will once again host ‘Out of the Darkness – A Walk of Hope’, a powerful and emotional event dedicated to raising awareness about mental health and suicide prevention in West Belfast. This special walk brings our community together to honour loved ones lost to suicide, support those who are struggling, and promote hope, healing, and connection.

The Out of the Darkness Walk reflects West Wellbeing’s mission to provide compassionate, accessible mental health care and suicide prevention services for all. Every step taken helps shine a light on the importance of talking openly about mental health and ensures that those in crisis know they are not alone. The event also helps raise vital funds to sustain and expand West Wellbeing’s counselling, crisis intervention, and community outreach services — keeping support local and available to everyone who needs it.

This year’s walk will conclude with the official opening of the Wall of Remembrance, a permanent and heartfelt space where people can place photos, messages, and tributes to loved ones lost to suicide. The wall stands as a lasting symbol of love, remembrance, and unity — a place for reflection and healing at the heart of our community.

💙 Every penny raised stays in West Belfast.
Together, we will continue to bring hope Out of the Darkness and build a future where no one faces their struggles alone.

We’ve set a minimum donation amount of £10 to help protect our platform and donors from fraudulent activity. Here’s why:

Scammers sometimes use stolen credit card details to perform “card testing” or “carding” attacks. This involves making very small transactions, typically under £10, to check if the card is active and works. These small amounts are less likely to trigger fraud alerts or suspicions from banks or cardholders.

By requiring a minimum donation of £10, we make it harder for scammers to exploit our platform while ensuring that your generous contributions go directly towards supporting our vital programs and services.

Thank you for your understanding and support in keeping our donation process safe and secure.
